Anesthesia - Clinical Technician Iii 2Nd Shift

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Anesthesia is seeking a Clinical Technician III, an essential member of the team. The Clinical Technician III under the direction of the anesthesia workroom supervisor will perform specialized tasks and procedures in support of the staff anesthesiologists, resident physicians, staff nurse anesthetists, and student nurse anesthetists.

Duties To Include

• Cleans all anesthesia work areas and set up for follow on cases and completes terminal cleaning after last case of the day.
• Maintains all anesthesia service areas in readiness for anesthesia provider. These areas include, but are not limited to, OR, ASC, PACU, Urology, and Labor and Delivery.
• Assure that proper anesthesia related equipment is available and in the correct configuration for the next case.
• Assembling and preparing intravenous (IV) solutions, invasive monitoring lines including: Arterial, CVP, PA/LAP, blood lines and carriers.
• Continuous demonstration of team-oriented values.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Three years of health care experience involving direct patient care including some use and maintenance of specialized medical equipment with at least one year of the prior experience at the level of a Clinical Technician II or equivalent, or a combination of related education and experience.
