Job Description
WELDER -
Night Shift 3:30 pm - 2:00 am *Shift Differential Pay of $2.50
  • Initial training is 90 days on day shift (5:00 am – 3:30pm / Mon – Thurs.).
Responsibilities
  • Tig welding 90% and mig welding 10% using multiple types of materials (steel, galvanized, and a range of stainless
  • Clean welds to check for imperfections.
  • Initial training is 90-days during day shift (5am – 3:30pm / Mon – Thurs.). Upon successful completion of training period, Associate will move to night shift
  • Work within the parameters of an estimate and work order.
  • Accurate interpretation of work orders and collaboration with co-workers and QA associates.
  • Properly set up welding machines
  • Preparation before Welding: 70% consists of ripping and trimming various specs of wire belts.
  • Accuracy with alignment, dimensions, materials, number of components, and general inspection requirements of metal chain drive belts.
  • Welding teams of two Associates per project.
Qualifications
  • Ability to use measurement tools such as a tape measure and occasionally, a dial caliber, plus welding, and torch equipment
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems.
  • Basic computer skills are needed for reviewing and performing shop orders
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred but not required
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions, read and interpret
  • Attention to all safety policies, programs, and practices is a must
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school. or three to six months of related experience and/or training. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to speak effectively and present information in small groups of fellow Associates
