Tax Consultant Jobs

Tax Consultant - Our client seeks a highly organized Tax Consultant in their Des Moines, IA office.

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity where you will earn up to $125,000 based on your experience. You will work Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm in a hybrid schedule with potential overtime at tax season. Plus enjoy an excellent benefits package!

Some of your responsibilities as a Tax Consultant will include:

• Communicating with clients to ensure timely collection of information
• Coordinating with IT resources to maintain and improve tax software
• Serving as the tax subject matter expert
• Preparing tax estimates and returns
• Scheduling review cycle of tax preparation and estimates
• Other duties as assigned
• Assisting with ongoing accounting services

To qualify for the Tax Consultant, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field. As well as:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or related field
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Valid CPA designation or Enrolled Agent a plus
• Knowledge of the Financial Services industry
• Understanding of investments
• Relationship building skills
• 5+ years of personal and business tax preparation
• Time management skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Understanding of financial planning strategies
