Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Analyst for IT Security Continual Service Improvement to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing activities within the Plan, Do, Check, Act lifecycle related to the effectiveness of security controls. Your contributions will directly impact the security and operational efficiency of our systems and services.
Key Responsibilities
Service Reviews: Maintain inventories of services and infrastructure utilized by the Security Administration Team. Review their applicability to accomplishing team goals as directed by the Department.
Process Evaluations: Collaborate with the IT risk management process to evaluate the effectiveness of services. Identify and analyze metrics and benchmarks to enhance the performance of the Security Administration Team, as directed by the Department.
Initiatives: Define and propose initiatives to enhance services and processes based on comprehensive reviews and evaluations, in alignment with Department objectives.
Monitoring: Monitor the effectiveness of initiatives and contribute to troubleshooting and refining changes within security operations, under the guidance of the Department.
Data Analysis and Risk Mitigation: Analyze substantial volumes of data to identify patterns and potential risks. Employ data-driven insights to make informed decisions and develop strategies for risk mitigation, in accordance with the Department's directives.
Incident Response: Contribute to information security and privacy incident response efforts as directed by the Department.
Effective Communication: Convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills as directed by the Department.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise to users, management, vendors, and colleagues for issues concerning various business offices and vendors within the Department.
Continuous Improvement: Support and drive continuous service improvement initiatives within the risk management process, as guided by the Department.
Qualifications
Experience: A successful candidate possesses a minimum of 6 years of combined IT and security work experience within diverse infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments, spanning on-premises and cloud environments across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, VM, bare metal, and other common IT platforms.
Endpoint Security: 4 years of experience in operations and maintenance of endpoint-related security products, including AV, EDR, XDR, and drive encryption.
Azure Expertise: 2 years of experience in operations and maintenance of Azure Active Directory security, encompassing events, incidents, login events, and MFA.
Office 365: 2 years of experience in operations and maintenance of Office 365 Security and Compliance, covering areas such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Purview.
Risk Management: 2 years of experience working in IT security, specifically identifying, assessing risks, developing risk management strategies, and implementing risk mitigation measures.
Security Operations: 2 years of experience in IT security operations, proficient in all stages of the Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover lifecycle.
Incident Analysis: 2 years of experience analyzing and investigating security alerts, events, and logs from various security tools and systems to determine the cause and extent of security breaches.
Project Management: 2 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining management systems to monitor complex IT projects at an enterprise scale, ensuring successful completion.
Performance Reporting: 2 years of experience working with automated IT performance reporting tools.
Continual Improvement: 2 years of experience applying outcomes of incident analysis, risk management, and performance reporting to facilitate Continual Service Improvement (CSI).
Compensation And Benefits
This is a full-time, one-year contract position with potential extensions. The compensation is commensurate with experience, up to $55 per hour or $114,400 per year. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits are available after 30 days of hire.
