Job Description

Utilize your management and supervisory skills to lead a diverse workforce for the Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Integrated Services (IS) Acquisition and Contract Resource (ACR) located in Washington, D.C.

NOTE: This Supervisory Business Operations Specialist GS-15 grade level position is only open to current Federal employees with competitive status, Federal employees who meet the definition of a surplus or displaced employee, and individuals eligible under the Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA).

You and your team, including Certified Program Managers, Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), and subject matter experts will develop and provide optimal solutions to meet the needs of the agency. As the Program Manager you will:

  • Work with the IS Director and senior leadership to plan, manage, and direct a variety of key, critical agency programs, projects, and functions related to business operations (includes finance, acquisition, procurement).
  • Advise program officials of the procurement objectives to be used and assist in the preparation of statements of work.
  • Prepare and maintain current acquisition related plans, appropriate milestone charts and related schedules.
  • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
  • Work to evaluate and consider the impact of changes in legislative, DHS, and CBP regulatory requirements on long-range goals and objectives.

Salary and Benefits:

This GS-15 grade level position starts at a salary of $155,700.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $183,500.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to $183,500.00 (GS-15 Step 10).

Qualifications:

Experience: You qualify for this GS-15 grade level opportunity if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

  • Providing supervision and oversight to ensure a high level of quality is met on financial tasks, projects, initiatives, and responsibilities.
  • Planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling, and evaluating business financial activities (includes finance, acquisition, procurement).
  • Establishing objectives, developing long range plans, and identifying resources to promote an efficient, economical, and progressive organization.
  • Overseeing a complex multi-million-dollar budget; participating in Congressional engagements, hearings, or high visibility dealings such as dealings with Office of Management and Budget (OMB), White House, Congressional engagement, and advocacy efforts, etc.
  • Ensuring projects, solutions, and services are on time, schedule, and cost.
