Staff Industrial Designer Jobs

5+ years of hands-on industrial design experience

Design and develop products from concepts through the prototyping and testing phases, into 3D models, and ultimately to production

Work closely with other designers to maintain a cohesive design language and product philosophy

Create specification documents for our tech packs

Work with our Manufacturing team and vendors to find the best solutions for each project

Produce renderings and other presentation tools to help support our new products

Familiarity with Wrike Project Management:

Your familiarity with Wrike project management tools allows you to effectively organize and manage projects, ensuring their successful execution

Ensure all design files are meticulously prepared for printing, meeting the highest print-ready standards, including pre-press and press-ready requirements

Create and produce content tailored to the specific requirements of e-retail accounts, adhering to existing and new asset mechanicals

2-4 Years of Experience in a Collaborative Creative Beauty Environment:

You should have 2-4 years of experience in a creative and collaborative work setting, ideally in the beauty industry

Management of multiple projects in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years professional experience in content-focused roles with 5+ of those years on in-product UX content

Experience leading or co-leading the design process, from early concept to launch

Experience developing a product content strategy for web and mobile, including designing for accessibility and inclusivity

Develop content strategies and frameworks to drive customer adoption, engagement, and retention

Lead the content design process from discovery and ideation to the final fit and finish of full-fidelity designs

Must have 4-6 years of experience with Autodesk Alias and Photoshop.

Illustrator, Keyshot, and Blender experience a plus.

Transportation industry experience is preferred.

Heavy truck or construction experience is a plus.

Propose and develop design solutions with clear product message and distinct brand identity that meets the project prerequisites.

Explore ideas for product message and create 2D and 3D concepts, e.g., sketches, drawings, and visual artifacts, using the given inputs.

Experience working with product managers and developers to deliver great experiences

Design world-class, user-centered designs incorporating business requirements, product takeaways, and customer feedback

Ability to speak openly about solutions, understand business requirements, and be technical enough to work closely with developers

Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups and prototypes

Participate in user research, testing and product discovery

Communicate design work and negotiate strategic direction with peers, researchers, design leaders, product partners and executives

Collaborate with others (other designers, engineers, management, manufacturing, etc.) to develop or refine designs.

Present work to peers and management for approval.

3+ years of relevant industrial design experience and 4 year degree in related discipline

Develop and present new product design concepts.

Create sketches, renderings and computer graphic illustrations.

Refine designs based on feedback.

Be an advocate for accessibility, internationalization, and responsiveness to help ensure our requirements are met

Have experience building out design systems for products on the web

Are a self-motivated, detail-oriented team player with strong organizational skills

Take ownership of the styling layer of our design system–be the bridge between design and implementation

Identify and document design patterns that can be abstracted into reusable components

Build out component style and structure in HTML, CSS, and React

Use 3D software for modeling and rendering, as well as knowledge of prototyping equipment.

2+ years of professional experience in an industrial design related role.

Experience using 2D and 3D drawing software. Rhino, Autocad and Solidworks very important.

Experience in manufacturing processes and techniques used to manufacture products made from a range of materials.

Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Work with our pre-production and production department to validate designs, mock-ups, and test homes.

Outstanding project management skills, ability to lead multiple projects and handle complexity with confidence.

Strong collaboration skills within design and multi-functional partners. Experience collaborating across geographies and organizational boundaries is a plus.

Galvanize support for your ideas through strong influencing and communication skills.

A good base knowledge in key manufacturing processes (blow-molding, injection molding, etc.)

Experience with animation tools (Flash, Premiere, Maya, etc.).

Work with leadership to understand the biggest innovation opportunities for your category and brands.

Utilize process improvement experience to quantitatively assess current facilities and business system performance.

Collaborate with supply chain, finance, manufacturing and operations to understand current processes and identify bottlenecks.

You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

You have a minimum of 5 years experience in data analytics.

You have a strong knowledge of engineering principles, mathematics and lean manufacturing.

You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Have an Industrial Design Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5+ years professional experience. Have agency/corporate experience; worked with/for major national/international brands.

Strong design ability. Can collaboratively apply design skills with a variety of teams both in person and digitally.

Ability to create detailed product specifications, sewing or pattern making knowledge ideal.

Demonstrate experience designing product to fit within a specific brand style.

Self-discipline to budget time to achieve deliverables while working in a hybrid remote environment.

Project management experience a plus

Understanding of ergonomics and wire management

5-7 years of professional Industrial Design experience in relevant product categories

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (must present ideas and information in a clear, concise, well-organized manner)

Well-developed sketching, drawing, visualization, and rendering skills

3D printing and/or model-making experience

Ability to travel up to 10% to various unanticipated project sites based on project needs.
