Staff Accountant/ Senior Accounts Payable Accountant

Together Labs (formerly IMVU) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Sr. Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Accounting Manager, and will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function and supporting the overall accounting operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciliations, and payments while adhering to financial policies and procedures. The Staff Accountant / Sr. Accounts Payable Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, maintain vendor relationships, and support month-end closing activities. This role requires a strong understanding of accounts payable principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

• Support Accounting Manager with ad hoc requests
• Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
• Perform annual 1099 reporting
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure accurate and proper posting of all bills and payments.
• Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Assist in monthly account reconciliation such as accrued liabilities, prepaid accounts, and fixed assets
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verification, classification, and recording of accounts payable data.
• Work in a hybrid capacity, with at least one day per week in the office.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
• Provide outside auditors with assistance by gathering necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with different personalities and departments, including at the VP level, across the company
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• 5+ years in accounting experience (2+ years in accounts payable preferred)
• Good knowledge of accounting systems, Netsuite preferred
• Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented personality
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

Compensation: From $64,000.00 to $111,500.00 per year
