Sr. Scientist, Antibody Support

As an integral member of the pharmacology team, designs experiments and supports multiple projects, providing Subject Matter Expertise to projects they support both directly and indirectly. Works on a broad range of assay technologies/platforms and a wide variety of automated equipment in a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Contributes to process efficiency and research quality.

• Performs more complex experiments, contributing to troubleshooting and methods development

• Develops new biochemical and cell-based assays

• Performs complex assays to support lead identification and optimization

• Provides complicated data to test hypotheses

• Uses data analysis and reporting to provide recommendations

• Tracks and documents assay performance

• Researches other internal team's work/experiments relevant to target identification

• May participate in patent and publication preparation

• Performs molecular biology techniques as needed to understand MOA, such as Western blotting and transient transfections, and other techniques as needed

• Continually provides recommendations to improve on process efficiency and research quality

• Researches national and international guidance documentation in justification of analytical limits, acceptance criteria, testing parameters and method validation and execution

• Documents research and conducts work in a safe manner in accordance with company and departmental guidelines

• Other duties as assigned

• MS/MA degree in scientific field and 3+ years of similar experience noted above OR
• PhD in biology or related field preferred and some experience similar experience noted above
• Collaborative and highly motivated
• BS/BA degree in scientific field and 5+ years of in vitro pharmacology experience; Preferred experience includes: primary cell culture, especially CNS, and related assay development, liquid handling automation and LIMS systems, GPCRs and related in vitro assays OR

• Must be comfortable working with radioisotopes

• Working knowledge of primary cell culture, especially CNS, and related assay development, liquid handling automation and LIMS systems, GPCRs and related in vitro assays.

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $103,200.00-$165,200.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program.
