Sr Mgr/Director Of Program Finance - Up To $200S

High growth publicly traded aerospace manufacturing and technology firm in Irvine, CA is hiring for an experienced Sr Manager/Director of Program Finance to join their FPA team.

This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and liaise with the Finance Director. He/she will have direct visibility to the company's senior management and significant interaction with leadership across key functional areas. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, a knack for forging close professional relationships, and a track record of favorably influencing business performance. The ideal candidate is results-driven, possesses a strong drive to exceed personal goals, and is naturally inclined to anticipate risks, take ownership of challenges, and make sound decisions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the Monthly and Quarterly reporting and planning processes for the Leviathan Program
• Provide thought leadership on effective methods to maintain and improve program margins, improve risks to schedule, and utilize program human capital effectively
• Manage Program financials, including revenue, cost, cashflow, and gross margin forecasting, estimate at complete (EAC) analysis, as well as Program risks and opportunities
• Collaborate and develop highly effective business partner relationships with the Program Management Office, Production, Supply Chain, Subcontract Managers, and Engineering
• Other duties as assigned
• Support both internal and external audit efforts to ensure accurate Program financials
• Support monthly Program Management Review and provide analysis for variances to baseline forecast

Qualification and Skills

• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
• 6-12 years of FP&A, corporate finance, Program Management, and/or related fields with previous people management experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally within the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) sector
• Ability to work independently, complete work timely, and work well as a team member
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidential information
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) as well as EVM Software
• Meticulous and superior attention to detail
• ERP implementation experience, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
• Must have experience managing complex and high-profile Programs with multiple contract types (Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, etc)
• Ability to provide guidance and build technical expertise amongst the team
• Possess a willingness and ability to work hands-on and with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Strategy. Master’s Degree preferred
• A proactive approach to problem identification and remediation solutions, and excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact and build relationships across all levels and functions in the organization
