Happy Head (https://www.happyhead.com/) is a rapidly growing and profitable telehealth startup, which lies at the intersection of Telemedicine, Health & Wellness, Technology, E-commerce, and Pharma. We seek a Los Angeles-based candidate, to lead and oversee all financial management and strategic initiatives of the business alongside with Executive Leadership. You will be responsible for driving the company’s long-term financial health, as well as ensuring the business is well positioned to capitalize on high-growth opportunities.

This is an opportunity for a driven, highly-analytical, entrepreneurial person to think big and take ownership. This role will manage our financial strategy, data analytics and reporting, accounting and banking systems, investor base, and key vendors to help bolster our leadership in dermatologist-prescribed hair medicine. Your work will ensure that the company is managing and growing efficiently and optimizing for high-ROI capital allocation decisions to make our fast-growing startup grow even faster.

Our company has a strong management team of industry experts and a tremendous pipeline of consumer business in place, enabling us to aggressively expand the team with the scale of the business. Just 2 years old, we are already profitable with 8-figure+ revenue. Our Founder/CEO, who has led several successful venture-backed companies, has a track record of mentorship and promoting from within. You will report to our SVP of Operations, who has a background in private equity and investment banking, and now runs Happy Head’s largest department.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Present to the Board of Directors and potential investors to develop the corporate fundraising strategy to support acceleration of our growth and present key business and financial updates. The role manages due diligence requests, and source strategic business opportunities
• Support internal and external stakeholders in managing and forecasting across all financial aspects of the business, which include directly interacting with Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain & Logistics, Product & Packaging, Marketing, HR & Recruiting, Customer Service, and Legal teams
• Oversee all audit, reporting, internal control operations, and departmental budgets
• Drive the financial and strategic planning of the company by analyzing, reporting, and forecasting performance as well as evaluating risks
• Evaluate new business ideas by building key analyses and presentation materials to recommend to Executive Leadership, followed by focused execution and delegation to cross-functional departments as needed
• Support and manage cross-functional projects using a combination of financial analysis, data, context, and business judgment to get to the right answer

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 3-5+ years of experience working in a highly analytical field that encompasses financial analysis, accounting, and forecasting; including but not limited to: Investment Banking, Private Equity, Strategic Finance & Accounting, and Management Consulting ( MBA or CPA a plus!)
• Ability to research, present, explain, and execute key strategic initiatives
• Collaborative, fun, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-impact position
• Experience with “big data” analytics is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to wear multiple hats and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• A problem solving and detail-oriented mentality, driven by analytical and creative solutions
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), and Financial Management software (Quickbooks)
