Consumer Insight Senior Manager

Consumer Insights, Measurement, & Analytics (CIMA) is a Global Marketing & Sales organization within Disney Parks, Experiences and Products that drives consumer centric decision-making through a deep understanding of the marketplace, consumers and our guests. In a rapidly changing consumer and market environment, with ever increasing touch points and data, the emphasis is on cutting through the noise to provide actionable insight – clear, objective, strategic, holistic, timely, and relevant. The optimal candidate will be a solutions-oriented, optimistic leader with proven success integrating research and business performance analytics to positively influence decisions.


We are seeking an inspiring and collaborative leader to serve as Senior Manager, Consumer Insight to support the Walt Disney World business. Reporting to the Director, Consumer Insight, the senior manager will lead a team responsible for developing, executing, synthesizing, and leveraging research, analytics, and other sources of insight to shape the future of the business. Areas of focus will primarily be focused on measuring and assessing Central Florida and Walt Disney World visitor and segment performance, modeling scenarios, executing pricing studies, and evaluating performance of product, pricing and marketing activations for the Walt Disney World Resort.


Responsibilities


  • Create research roadmaps that appropriately prioritize resources to meet company objectives
  • Foster relationships with external and internal partners, building influence
  • Establish credibility as a partner who can translate insight into actionable, business-driving strategies
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions
  • Lead and professionally develop a Consumer Insight team
  • Create succinct and compelling communications that influence senior leadership
  • Proactively identify key business needs and provide a data-driven point of view analyzing internal and external sources that could include survey data, scenario modeling, competitive intelligence, and Walt Disney World guest visitation behaviors to inform strategic decision making
  • Independently manage (and assist team in managing) all phases of the market research process including needs identification, project design, execution, analysis, and presentation of results


Basic Qualifications


  • Comfortable adapting to change and works effectively with ambiguity
  • Critical thinker, able to sort through complex business issues and problem-solve as needed
  • Excellent storytelling skills
  • 10+ years relevant experience in a related field
  • Able to conceptualize and build an analytic plan, design questionnaires, and mine through data to uncover relevant insights
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of business, consumer and marketplace dynamics
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines
  • Solutions-oriented individual willing to challenge established thinking and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-functional partners to positively impact the business
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple data sources into clear, actionable insights and stories
  • Excels in an analytical capacity


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s degree in an analytics field (preferred)
  • SAS / SPSS
  • Previous experience supporting guest experience measurement, pricing studies, product innovation, forecasting consumer behavior, or similar studies
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading strong research and analytical teams
  • Tableau experience
