Are you a seasoned IT Program Manager with a passion for leading complex projects from inception to completion? Do you have a track record of delivering innovative solutions while balancing budget, scope, and timeline constraints? If so, we want you on our team!
We are seeking a Senior IT Program Manager to join our clients dynamic organization and lead their most critical technology initiatives. As a key member of the leadership team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes, ensure alignment with business objectives, and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
Location: Remote (EST preferred) Contract: 6 months (extension potential) Payrate: $65/hr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a project organizational structure that is cost effective and efficient.
- Manage and coordinate project direction and scope from analysis through implementation.
- May be responsible for instructing, directing and checking the work of other team members.
- Responsible for meeting timelines, budget, quality and resource commitments for project(s).
- Direct problem resolution, decision making, communications and other associated activities during all phases of large and complex projects using a pro-active and positive approach.
- Serve as project manager for one or more large and complex projects.
- Actively manage assembling the project team, determining task to assignments, identifying resource requirements, developing and maintaining project schedule, coordinating project activities and adhering project deadlines.
- Conduct team meetings, communicate updates.
- Plan and direct the delivery of information to management and project teams on project plans, budgets, proposals, requirements, analysis, designs, strategies, recommendations, issues and tasks and activities.
- Responsible for managing the overall direction of multiple projects from analysis through implementation, with impact both within and across units.
- Ensures proper resource support based on tasks defined and provides front-line leadership to associates, project teams, and functional managers.
- Define and promote formal communication methods and establish open and consistent communication within the team as well as with the PMO and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a business related field or equivalent training/experience required.
- Project Management certification and minimum 8 years experience project life cycle and project management methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated successful leadership of all sizes of projects.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- FLMI, ACS 100, AIA 200 certification(s) preferred.
- Proven experience in the following areas: interacting effectively with business management, utilizing interviewing/ negotiation skills; coordinating and facilitating small and large group meetings; utilizing planning/organization skills and techniques; effectively managing multiple priorities.
