UST is looking to hire a Paralegal / Legal Administrator for our busy Customer Contracts Team in Aliso Viejo, CA (or remote) to provide administrative support for customer contracts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
· Review drafts of various agreements as directed by attorneys, obtain feedback on draft agreements from various stakeholders, and provide consolidated comments to the relevant stakeholders
· Perform administrative duties including creating, preparing, proofreading, verifying, and editing material for accuracy and clarity
· Perform research and support activities to assist attorneys
· Understand and work with complex business-related legal documents
· Create abstracts of agreements
· Process fully approved contracts for signature and maintain executed agreements in the repository
· Proactively assist attorneys and other paralegals in responding to various commercial matters as they come in
· Manage and support contract legal management tools to provide timely assistance in the review, drafting, and negotiation of various contract matters
· Train internal customers on company contracting processes and procedures
· Establish and maintain filing systems, classified, sort, and file correspondence, records, media clips, and other documents
· Utilize advanced computer skills to prepare complex correspondence, reports, charts, tables, graphs, and forms
· Coordinate with various stakeholders in different departments to ensure compliance with company policy in all customer contracts
· Collaborate across functional teams and foster a collaborative environment
· Work independently to manage and complete department functions and prepare Statements of Work, amendments, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed
· Work independently with minimal supervision
· Use discretion and judgment
· Organize workload to reflect and meet established priorities
· Handle confidential information professionally and consistently with legal and ethical policies
· Consummate team player with a can-do attitude
· Be available full-time at the corporate office in Aliso Viejo, CA, or remote
Experience:
· Require 5-8 years in the legal area, preferably in contracting
· Experience in a supervisory role is an asset
· Superior writing and oral communication skills
· Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
· Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure
· Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently
· Work with diverse groups and reach a consensus
· Able to multi-task and work under pressure
· Excellent time management skills
· Able to adapt to new technology
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· People skills including good judgment and tact
· Associate degree or equivalent experience; Paralegal certification preferred
