Design Engineer Details
  • First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )
  • $ 70,000.00 to $ 90,000.00 / annually
  • Direct Hire position
Job Details
  • Verify fit, form and function, FEA analysis, and manufacturability
  • Oversee prototype build to verify concept product
  • Review current product design changes to ensure customer satisfaction and structural integrity
  • Line up resources, investigate manufacturing issues, and make decisions on changes
  • Summarize information in the form of PowerPoint presentations or other specific templates
  • Review nonconformance of parts to help minimize cost without sacrificing customer expectations
  • Review parameters, design CAD models, verify functions and compliance
  • Work within the engineering department to develop and support projects and products
  • Design new products and revise current products to meet market demand
  • Assist in testing products to ensure customer satisfaction and code compliance
Design Engineer Qualifications
  • Ability to perform repetitive data entry
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 3 years related work experience required
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with members of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Able to prioritize duties and complete tasks according to set guidelines
  • Excellent planning, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with 3D parametric solid modeling CAD software – Solid Works, MS Word and MS Excel is a plus
  • Must have thorough understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes
  • Solutions-oriented problem solver
  • Requires high level attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering experience
