About the Role
We are looking for an employment lawyer to join our growing and exciting Legal Department as Sr. Counsel. In this role, you will counsel CrowdStrike’s business leaders and the human resources team on complex U.S. and international employment matters. The role involves all aspects of the employer-employee relationship and you will provide advice on recruiting, performance management, wage and hour, internal investigations, employee privacy and much more. You will help resolve pre-litigation disputes and have the opportunity to manage outside counsel around the world. As Sr. Counsel, you will collaborate with stakeholders to manage interesting and complex projects from inception to implementation. This position will report to the Senior Lead Employment Counsel.
The role is remote-based in Central or Eastern timezone.
What You’ll Do
  • Support stakeholders across various business groups, including Sales, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, and Equity teams.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to prepare and conduct trainings.
  • Be a trusted adviser and contact for our HR team on a wide-range of employee relations matters.
  • Draft and review various employment documents, including employment agreements, separation agreements, and corporate policies.
  • Manage employment litigation through all phases, as well as ongoing monitoring and coordination with external counsel.
  • Stay up-to-date on developments to laws throughout the various regions where employees are located.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures to support growth of the Company.
  • Provide counsel/advise on various benefits issues, such as leaves of absence, accommodations, and pension.
  • Work with the Compensation team to draft, review, and revise variable compensation plans.
  • Support the Privacy team on Employee Privacy Notices, Data Subject Requests and other employee privacy issues.
  • Assist in the company’s global expansion initiative by preparing the key employment documents and satisfying local legal requirements.
What You’ll Need
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school and active admission to a state bar.
  • Experience conducting investigations and handling sensitive and confidential information with the appropriate discretion.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and team-oriented mentality.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing employment agreements and corporate policies.
  • Proven track record of completing projects independently and as part of a team.
  • You must be able to understand and evaluate risk and provide practical guidance for a fast-paced company.
  • A minimum of 6 years of employment litigation and counseling experience including a significant portion at a major employment law firm.
  • Experience with Federal leaves of absence and wage and hour laws.
