Basis Technologies is headquartered in Chicago, and our employees have the flexibility to work in an office location, completely remote, or a hybrid of the two. Please note, we are hiring on a remote working basis only in the U.S. and Canada.


About The Team


The Data Analytics team is the internal face of Basis analytical offering. The team has a passion for designing and performing complex analyses, utilizing statistical methodologies to validate assumptions and are viewed as experts when it comes to data analysis. As trusted advisors to our internal analytics and services teams, our time is spent diving deep into rows of data to understand media performance while educating our internal teams on how best to translate these outputs to actionable advice for our clients. Among our supportive team network, you can often find us deep into crafting custom analysis, writing custom code or evaluating holistic performance trends for our Media Services team.


WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE


As an integral part of the Data Analytics team, the Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for delivering custom analyses for clients and internal stakeholders across the country. This position is responsible gathering requirements from various members of the Client Analytics team and creating and delivering against an action plan to meet the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, and an ability to eloquently explain complex analytical concepts in an easy to digest way. This person should be comfortable jumping into a SQL database to perform a sophisticated analysis or make sense of an unstructured data set while teaching and training those around them. This position reports into the GVP, Data Analytics.


OTHER WAYS YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM ARE BY:


  • Analyzing performance data to investigate hypotheses across large, multi-dimensional datasets
  • Presenting analytical findings and deliver recommendations for business renewal and growth to internal teams
  • With the help of your manager, recommending data collection strategies for your assigned set of clients
  • Having the ability to efficiently process large datasets, including advertising impression data and site visitation
  • Acknowledging and embracing diversity of thought and opinion, and approach with Beeps, clients, and vendors, regardless of background, culture, and organizational level. Specific examples include but are not limited to: attending DEI initiatives and trainings and/or participating in self-led learning, commit to continuous improvement by actively working on personal and professional growth and working collaboratively with all team members, clients and vendors to build an inclusive culture.
  • Advising team on tracking methodologies and delivery of outputs focusing on the metrics and KPIs that are critical to brand and acquisition goals of the client
  • Being an expert in how to incorporate 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data into analyses and forecasts
  • Serving as the expert on Data & Analytics processes, platforms, capabilities, and solutions for our internal teams, be the resource to support client and campaign analytics discussions with a focus on process, execution and accuracy
  • Providing the national teams with tactical support and help to quickly see issues through to resolution, partner with Analytical Operations team on processes, training and knowledge sharing
  • Being an analytic leader across the country by crafting and running custom analyses to support our client facing teams and client initiatives
  • Staying on top of analytical industry trends, best practices, and general measurement capabilities
  • Partnering with Client and Media Services, Search, and Social team members to develop forward-looking campaigns based on historical performance insights
  • Taking the lead on analytics for complex campaigns, key accounts, or new business, and manage overflow as necessary


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Data analysis and statistical concepts knowledge
  • 3-5 years digital media experience, especially in media measurement departments
  • Experience with SQL


BONUS POINTS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business, Statistics or Economics


$80,000 - $130,000 a year


Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual salary is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process. The total compensation package for this position may also include commission or bonus, company equity, and competitive benefits.
