We are looking for a talented Data Analyst/Sr. Data Analyst to join our BI Team remotely from anywhere in Eastern US & Canada. About the role eLocal is seeking a Data Analyst/Sr. Data Analyst to extract, analyze and report data that guides our business.

As a member of the Business Intelligence Team, you will play a critical role in contributing to the end-to-end production of information for our management and decision making in a rapid environment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in data analysis and reporting in an expansion-stage business working as part of a larger team. We are looking for someone with a curious mind who enjoys crunching numbers and applies critical thinking to solve the wide-ranging problems that arise when working with big data.

Responsibilities:

• Discovering key, data-driven insights and sharing them with various stakeholders.
• Designing, building and maintaining dashboards and reports in both Looker and Excel.
• Managing and completing ad hoc requests efficiently and accurately.
• Work as part of a small, dynamic team to achieve our goals.
• Using SQL knowledge to extract data from our warehouse and build relationships in Looker using LookML.
• Collaborating with business department stakeholders to understand information needs and define deliverables.

Requirements and Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communications
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, ability to transform messy data into valuable insights
• Proficiency with reporting tools, designing and building dashboards, and proprietary tool language/syntax (preferably Looker; Tableau or Amazon QuickSight is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in writing and reading SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL)
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in insight data analysis and reporting
• Proficiency in Excel
