As the Specialist, Visual Communications, you will be part of a team of diverse professionals dedicated to delivering world-class support to our internal customers. You will assist the Field Communication Department in developing and streamlining the flow of communication to store employees to ensure accurate, timely, consistent “World Class” communication while also maintaining GSO, GameStop’s intranet web portal. You may interact with your supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback.

What You’ll Do

• Develop communication to field employees by assisting on weekly and daily e-mails and GSO related communications.
• Assist in collecting data, completing surveys, and creating reports related to improving the various aspects of Field Communications including GSO
• Provide general administrative support, including but not limited to, research relating to improving store operations and communication, preparing documents, presentations, business reports, and internal correspondence.
• Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other major business units throughout the GameStop organization
• Assist supervisor with creating better & streamlined processes to enable store leaders successfully execute the tasks and sales driving activities.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve in-store processes to gain efficiencies in labor spend and free up time for our stores to better serve guests.
• Develop new ways to utilize GSO to improve communications with the Store Support Center and Field Employees.
• Assist in collecting, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of information to and from the stores and help streamline the method of communication.
• Research and develop selling support tools and communications to support key product releases.
• Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
• Receive, direct, and respond to communications throughout various levels in the organization; interact with internal customers, vendors, Corporate and Field Executives and Associates with a sense of urgency and professionalism
• Use knowledge of GSO functionality to assist and/or train others on GSO and ensure understanding of this communication tool.
• Develop an understanding of our GameStop Online intranet web portal to assist in creating, submitting, approving, uploading, and maintaining the content and personnel on GSO.
• Extract, aggregate and synthesize data from multiple sources
• Gather, organize, interpret, and report data used by other leaders to make sound business decisions

What You Will Need

• Possess proficient analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Experience in working cross-functionally within a complex organizational structure
• Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; knowledge of web design preferred
• Proficiency with technology tools such as Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• At least 2 years of Retail experience required; store leader level experience preferred
• Proficient organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple, overlapping, and potentially conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
• Possess accurate typing and data entry skills
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Accredited Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field preferred
• Ability to work satisfactorily with no or minimal supervision
• 2-3 years of experience in an administrative assistant or similar support role preferred
• Proficient ability to read/comprehend complex displayed and/or printed statistical data/information and reports
• Consistently demonstrate a commitment to GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external contacts; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to travel occasionally (5-10%) to off-site meetings and conferences as needed
