Our client, a consumer goods company, is seeking a Freelance Visual Designer for a 1-year contract role in Austin, TX. Only candidates local to Austin may be considered.

In this role, you’ll create graphics, iconography, illustrations, editorial layouts, and other visuals that bring content to life and adhere to brand guidelines. You’ll collaborate closely with other designers and the project team to concept and iterate designs.

Responsibilities:

• Review and QA final deliverables with a high attention to detail
• Create original concept artwork and layout mockups
• Conduct research, brainstorm, present concepts, and source photography and illustration
• Iterate mockups and execute deliverables based on existing branding and art direction
• Assist with production of visual assets and asset management, as needed

Requirements:

• Expect knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Excellent file organization skills
• Skills in motion design and HTML5/CSS a plus
• Proficiency in design fundamentals like typography, layout, balance, color, and proportion
