Job Description
Scope of Position


EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience. We deliver grid-scale power: wind (onshore and offshore), solar photovoltaic, and storage projects; distribution-scale power: solar and storage; asset optimization: technical, operational, and commercial expertise to maximize the performance of generating projects, and onsite solutions, through the Company’s PowerFlex affiliate, offering a full suite of onsite energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers: solar, storage, EV charging, energy management systems, and microgrids.


EDFR is seeking an exceptional initiative-taker and problem-solver to join the Solar product management team. The ideal candidate has technical expertise in the end-to-end grid-connected Solar plant lifecycle (e.g., Development, Procurement, Engineering, Construction, Cost Estimation, and O&M). Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and have a passion for creative data-driven decision making. This position will work closely with all EDFR teams involved in the project lifecycle, to identify and implement opportunities for reduced costs and improved value. Must be execution-oriented, able to influence and lead a variety of stakeholders, and have a high attention to details.


Responsibilities


  • Lead cost-out initiatives to achieve roadmap targets
  • Analyze data to support decision making processes
  • Support solar product roadmap development, by optimizing for the least cost, best-fit solutions at the portfolio level.
  • Lead assigned LCOE reduction projects from ideation to completion. Lead cross-functional teams to complete projects on time & on budget to meet our annual LCOE targets. Monitor and track project progress, provide project status report, lead ideation sessions, and manage stakeholder engagement.
  • Build compelling business cases assessments
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Identify and lead other internal initiatives to drive solar product competitiveness and technical suitability. Develop whitepaper, documentation, presentation, etc. to support the product advancement.
  • Support the development of Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) roadmap for Solar product
  • Provide insights and analytical driven approaches for best-fit products


Qualifications


Education/Experience –


  • Minimum 5 years industry working experience in solar/energy storage/wind.
  • Deeply familiar with life cycle of renewable energy projects; solar preferred.
  • Superb communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Minimum 3 years of Product Management or Project Management experience.
  • B S in relevant STEM discipline. MBA or Master’s in engineering preferred.
  • Extensive business and data analytics experience, and proficient in data script language and data visualization tools, such as Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoints, and SharePoint.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities –


  • Propose solutions to drive LCOE reduction through creatively engaging stakeholders and identifying opportunities to optimize cost and performance of product
  • Knowledge of major equipment of utility-scale solar plant
  • Assess inputs influencing the LCOE for projects and products
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in internal and external market data
  • Experience with renewable project financial modeling, budgets/scheduling, risk evaluation, and statistical modeling a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple people from all types of fields of expertise that don’t report to you
  • Comfortable translating business requirements into a design. Proven ability to translate a product vision into an action.
  • Experience with solar project lifecycle: integration, procurement, origination, sales, and deployment of front-of-the-meter and/or behind-the-meter storage equipment.
  • Comfort with CAPEX and OPEX analysis for solar projects and ability to challenge established items to improve efficiencies and project returns
  • Able to identify ways to add value to the team, proactive identify problems to tackle, complete multiple concurrent projects and track progress, all without specific direction or guidance.
  • Imaginative and ability to adapt to changing circumstances while also being able to simultaneously perform multiple quantitative analysis.
  • Experience researching, developing, and evaluating new and different technologies utilizing related design, business, and engineering skills.


Working Conditions –


  • 20% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings
  • 80% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment


Benefits –


This role’s annual base salary range is between $100,013 and $166,688 .
