The Software Quality Engineer executes Information Services (I.S.) Quality Assurance (QA) processes with moderate guidance. You identify problems, generate alternatives, and recommend solutions within defined processes. You document the progress of assigned tasks to ensure objectives are met. You collaborate effectively with QA team members, application developers, software vendors, consultants, user communities, and test environment technical support staff in the execution of testing procedures. You support testing efforts of small to medium complexity. The Software Quality Engineer is knowledgeable of the key processes and technology within the business functions supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
• Experience implementing QA process and methodologies
• Analyze and document defects and work with development team for defect resolution
• Experience on writing test scenarios and test scripts on user stories
• Understand the software life cycle
• Experience with the development and implementation test applications and/or test scripts
• Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in QA

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Visual Studio / TFS, DevOps Azure, VB, C#, XML, JSON, JavaScript, Database (SQL)
• Exposure to automation suite of software, specifically Selenium or similar tools
• Experience on Agile and Scrum Methodologies
