Emergency Call Handling is the critical interface for the citizen into the command center and public safety workflow. Motorola Solution is the leading software developer and solution provider for Emergency Call Handling. This software enables 911 centers to receive and process calls at Public Safety Answering Points across North America. The Emergency Call Handling solution team is one Motorola Solutions Software Enterprise business sleeve. The innovation of workflow enhancements is being developed for call handling, incident management, responder dispatching, and situational awareness. This position will be a member of the team working on software applications for Public Safety Agencies.
Work on security and monitoring solutions that support next-generation emergency call handling (9-1-1) software solutions.
Develop maintainable, secure, and safety-critical software within an Agile Scrum environment.
Develop automated security software.
Work with multiple geographically distributed teams to develop and integrate software.
Investigate and resolve software defects.
Work with customer support to investigate and resolve issues.
Maintain existing software.
Respond to requests for assistance from the Cybersecurity team and other internal customers.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of ECH security posture.
Keep Security Lead apprised of activities, issues, commitments, etc.
Summarize technical details into high-level descriptions for presentation and other management.
Perform peer code reviews and identify potential problems.
Continuously learn new technologies and advancements in existing technologies.
Integrate software components/services
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent degree).
2+ year experience with Java development.
