As a premier cybersecurity firm, MindPoint Group is searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented full-cycle Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a robust knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring our operations run smoothly.

What you get to do every day:

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of annual 1099s
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Monitor aging accounts and coordinate collection efforts
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts
  • Compile and analyze financial statements and reports
  • Serves as backup for the complete billing process, ensuring timely and accurate billing of all customers
  • Ensure accurate processing of employee expense reports and timely payment distribution.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related activities, including tax reports, voluntary deduction reports, and benefit reports
  • Assist with audit requests by preparing supporting schedules and documentation
  • Accounts Receivable & Payable:
    • Oversee accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions
    • Serves as backup for the complete billing process, ensuring timely and accurate billing of all customers
    • Monitor aging accounts and coordinate collection efforts

Qualifications

What skills are required?

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and DCAA regulations within a federal government contracting environment
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Unanet or Deltek

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $60-80k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
