Social Media Intern

Position Overview:

The Social Media Intern will report to the Social Media Director, supporting all projects related to organic social media and content. The ideal candidate should have a passion for creating content with a focus on engagement and growth across brand channels. We are looking for a team member who has creative ideas, understands platform trends, has great video editing skills, and is excited about working on multiple industry-leading beauty brands. Above all, you should be knowledgeable about the latest Social Media trends and enjoy creating and experimenting with them in unique and unexpected ways that are on-brand.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support influencer marketing efforts by communicating with influencers for gifting and content creation.
• Surface key learnings from our community to Social Media Director and leadership team.
• Stay abreast of key industry trends, competitive insights, and industry leaders in social media.
• Assist in other duties related to Social Media to support content, community and creator initiatives.
• Assist with the production of content shoots as well as supporting on the ground during any shoots.
• Work closely with the Social Media team to assist in conceptualizing and creating compelling video content for Instagram and TikTok to drive engagement and help build channels.
• Support Community Manager by engaging with customers and followers across social media in alignment with each brand’s values and mission.
• Gather and ship inventory along with tracking packages.

Required Skills/ Qualifications:

• You have a BA/BS in marketing, communications or a related field.\
• You've demonstrated the ability to operate with a high level of discretion.
• You have a growth mindset ready to innovate and work collaboratively with a small team.
• Actively engaged in using social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• You have previous internship experience in beauty or a related industry.
• You are creative, organized and detail-oriented with the ability to balance multiple projects.
