The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Content, we are looking for a creative and versatile Social & Content Lead to develop and drive our always-on content approach for Caraway’s marketing & social media channels. This position will further develop our editorial strategy with continuous content across various online & offline channels, while managing a team of 2, and helping to establish Caraway Home as the go-to brand for all things healthy & non-toxic living.
Who You Are:
The ideal candidate has experience managing a content calendar and developing audience-centric campaign narratives to support brand efforts. Ideally, this candidate is a strong copywriter with experience managing a team, developing editorial content & concepts, and utilizing social analytics platforms to inform future creative decision making. A successful candidate will thrive working autonomously, yet collaboratively, and lead from a resourceful mindset while managing a variety of short and long-term projects.
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with leadership, identify messaging priorities and develop integrated campaigns that support Caraway’s brand mission, drive engagement, and support customer acquisition & retention revenue goals
- Ad hoc projects as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support all marketing efforts, including but not limited to: influencer activations, marketing campaigns, and giveaways
- Create and continuously evolve an overarching content calendar that supports and extends marketing initiatives across channels and audiences
- Formulate, test, and execute social media-specific tactics to encourage audience growth and maintain healthy organic engagement for each channel
- Develop scalable processes and work cross-functionally to manage content requests to achieve brand & business goals
- Coach, mentor, and develop content team members focusing on inclusivity, growth opportunities, and continual improvement
- Continually identify and implement refined standards, systems, and best practices for effective communication strategies
- Cultivate & monitor Caraway’s brand voice, tone, perspective, and copy across channels and contexts, including digital (web/email/mobile/video) and physical (packaging/retail) touch points
- Measure, track, and optimize campaign performance & organic social analytics to ensure we are consistently achieving and exceeding KPIs and brand OKRs
Knowledge, skill, and abilities:
- Exceptionally organized with a strong ability to multitask, work independently, and delegate effectively
- 4-5+ years of relevant social & content experience. Preferably experience with brand development and marketing for a DTC business
- Skilled copywriter with a knack for storytelling; ability to develop core messaging for marketing campaigns, events, and more, understanding how to chameleon-nize content (written & visual) for a variety of marketing channels
- Understand how to connect with a virtual audience, and have proven experience growing a loyal social following
- Driven by data; you love getting into the weeds of social analytics and utilize insights to help shape your strategy
- Brand marketer and idea machine; you love identifying new opportunities to keep messaging fresh and can execute a creative vision across a variety of mediums (email, text, video, social)
- 2+ years of management experience. Preferably with 2+ direct reports
- Have a passion for all things home, design, and leading a non-toxic lifestyle
- Live and breathe all things social media. You’re up to date on the latest trends and best practices, and are the first to test out new platforms and features when they launch. You follow and/or are up to speed on best-in-class social media brands & personalities in order to draw inspiration
