About The Opportunity


The SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning) Manager is responsible for standardization and facilitation of monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning) processes to ensure alignment among all partners including but not limited to demand planning and supply planning for product management, sellable equipment, production, inventory levels, sourcing, and logistics. Leads the implementation and execution of industry SIOP best practices, strategies and overall maturity, and evolve processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior executive leaders. Overall responsible for guiding the implementation of our SIOP strategy at the organizational level and managing all aspects of the SIOP process while contributing to product reliability, inventory management, and attainment of organizational goals. This includes the development of the statistical forecasts for each market segment (by region) and leading the monthly demand review meetings.


In this role, the successful candidate will:


  • Create and implement training programs to educate employees on the SIOP process and lean principles and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develops a rolling 18-month demand plan by facilitating the process with the commercial, logistics and supply planning teams.
  • Leads 1-2 data analysts to develop forecasts and analyze multiple supply chain scenarios.
  • Drives leading indicators of forecast accuracy and bias to facilitate a continuous improvement mindset into the process and collaborators.
  • Facilitates the monthly reviews with Finance and drives the reconciliation process between operating plan and budget.
  • Motivates and coaches employees by assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities. 
  • Develops a supply plan that balances capacity and inventory requirements, using Kanban methodologies, working closely with supply chain and purchasing teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and other goods.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Delegates tasks and manages progress to ensure successful completion of department objectives. 
  • Develops a process for identification of new product demand streams and impacts from product launches, engineering changes, product obsolescence, and transitions (Supply & Footprint).
  • Manages proactively by holding regular 1on1s and team meetings to ensure open lines of communication and professional development for direct reports. 
  • Develops effective statistical forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns (at multiple hierarchical levels: SKU, Org, Segment, Region).
  • Develops and supports on-going relationship with Distribution Manager supporting 99% cycle count accuracy for all A and B Categories; C being at 98%.
  • Develops the optimization of forecasting and demand planning process to meet and exceed internal and external customer requirements.
  • Manages and directs Supply Planners; setting in process WIP, in P\process goods, and finish goods stock level to maintain 100% on time delivery.
  • Owns and manages integrated business planning / SIOP calendar of events, meeting recaps and action plans, issue resolution, and tracking demand/supply mitigating actions.
  • Contributes to the continuous development of planning systems and supporting tools that lead to a world-class SIOP process.
  • Works closely with Supply Chain and Operation departments in understanding capacity constraints that prevent from achieving demand plan. Participate in supply review meetings.
  • Leads and facilitates the monthly demand planning meetings with commercial leaders to achieve the consensus forecast by integrating statistical forecasts with qualitative input.
  • Develops and implements Kanban system(s) using analytics to determine right sizing based on 90 day rolling sales history for high volume product and 180 for low volume product.
  • Supports working capital/inventory strategies toward inventory optimization through effective SIOP execution in alignment with demand and supply planning execution.
  • Continuously improve the SIOP process by identifying areas of waste and implementing lean principles to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Creates and reinforces a culture of teamwork and actively resolves conflicts within the team. 


What does it take to be successful?


  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures, and completing on-the-job training. 
  • Project / Program Management capabilities and leadership skills / Lean background.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Power BI, Word, & PowerPoint.
  • Advanced ERP experience. QAD experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage large sets of data.
  • 5-7 years of people management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Demand and Supply Planning, Sales Planning, or Finance.
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of and exposure to complex business systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting tools and best practices, including techniques and methods to develop forecasting models.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
