Description

General Responsibility:


The duties of the HVAC Project Manager is to be responsible for successfully managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, quality assurance, productivity accountability, project financials, document control, procurement, submittals and change orders. Performing all essential functions and responsibilities to ensure that expected levels of profitability, quality and safety are obtained, including bids, schedule, and coordinate all processes from the project acquisition stage through final construction.

Significant Duties:


  • Oversee contract processing from negotiation through execution, including change order processing
  • Prepare, submit and follow up on subcontracts
  • Coordinate and supervise HVAC layout design from conception to completion
  • Manage the process and quality of installation through communication with on-site supervisors, and on-site visits
  • Coordinate and supervise the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Schedule and monitor all activities of manpower, including worker productivity and safety
  • Reviews weekly job reports to ensure that all costs are within budget guidelines, and production remains on schedule
  • Recommend adjustments to budgets and schedules when necessary
  • Review and approve monthly job billing, assist in collection of past due accounts
  • Communicate with on-site supervisors, Builders/Owners, and appropriate departments regarding production, material, and manpower needs and changes
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all files related to the specific job tasks
  • Follow all safety procedures on the jobsite
  • Travel to different jobsites as directed by management
  • Performs within the values and guidelines of 20/20 and adheres to the 20/20 Policies and Procedures
  • Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes
  • Other duties or projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:


  • California Driver License, with clean DMV record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction science or related fields, or an equivalent certification, is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge and work experience in the trade of HVAC and general construction
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong and solid typing skills, and a proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel Software programs
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independent
  • Uses independent judgment and discretion in prioritizing and managing situations
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, overtime and weekends as required
  • Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, scheduling, and estimating
  • Ability to be flexible, decisive, and work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Five years’ or more of HVAC installation procedures
  • Coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with many different people inside and outside of the company

Physical Requirements: The position of the HVAC Project Manager requires that you are able to lift objects that weight up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and work above head and below waist. Exposed to work in outdoor and indoor weather conditions. Ability to sit long periods, stand, walk, climb stairs and use of hands, fingers, wrists, and arms. Travel to jobsites will be necessary and would require the ability to walk on uneven unclean terrain for several hours.
