Job Description
What To Expect
The Service Operations Technical Analyst is responsible for driving projects focused on improving aspects of quality within Service. There is an emphasis on tackling the top issues impacting our customers to prioritize problem solving for. Your responsibilities will include strategic project deployment – streamlining all quality project & program efforts from concept to completion, including managing all internal stakeholders, developing standards and metrics, providing continuous feedback both upstream and downstream regarding project & program efficacy, and consulting on necessary improvements. You will work closely with a dynamic list of stakeholders such as Service Engineering, Factory Quality and Service Field teams to drive key items to resolution. The best candidate for this role has a passion for Tesla’s Service mission – together, we are revolutionizing the way we do Service.
What You’ll Do
  • Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continual improvement, working within the Tesla team to make it more efficient, safer and an enjoyable place to work
  • Establish quality performance metrics and ensure owning teams drive issues to solutions that address all root-cause(s)
  • Lead problem-solving teams to understand service impacting trends and identify actions to reduce the diagnostic and repair burden
  • As required, drive Manufacturing and Design Engineering to improve product specifications and tolerances
  • Develop solutions to pull data quickly and effectively, conduct data analysis to provide insights to leadership, and work with various Data Science teams to maintain alignment
  • Work cross-functionally with Field Service Operations, Service Engineering, Factory Quality, and Service Programs teams to drive operational quality improvements
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Suppliers, Supplier Quality as needed

  • Be a good listener. Understand that every interaction you have with your stakeholders can provide valuable data.
  • 3 or more years of project or program management experience preferred
  • JIRA, Excel, and Tableau skills are definite pluses
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field/similar experience.

  • Expected Compensation
    $60,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
