Technical Business Analyst - Apple Maps Operations

The Maps Operations team is developing internal platforms and tools which help analyze, visualize, process, run, and curate data at large scale. Would you like to do this too?

We are looking for a technical business analyst to assist us with metrics and reporting. Key Qualifications

Hands on experience in transformation and presentation of data using Tableau and/or any other visualization tools.

Ability to conduct statistical analysis and provide insights using analytical tools such as SAS, R or Python

Experience with data platforms such as SQL based platforms, Hadoop and/or Hive.

Deep process focus, demonstrating your ability to continuously enhance procedures and find opportunities for improvement.

Project or Program management experience in business analytics.

Experience coordinating activities across a distributed team

Demonstrated ability to help drive large scale Annual Financial Planning with multi-functional teams and Finance to facilitate the data collection and analyze the budget need based on the business requirement.

Prior experience with invoicing and/or data analysis is desired.

Description

The Maps team has many groups that build tools and services to process mapping data. We combine these together to provide robust reporting and analytics to our business stake-holders.

Responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Define key data metrics and conduct analysis related to desired outcomes from various production processes and stake-holders.

- Identify patterns, attribute hierarchies, and data relationships which can be organized and reported against.

- Plan and develop, implement, and lead all aspects of a given analytics program.

- Address critical issues and develop root-cause analysis solutions.

- Develop streamlined intuitive dashboards that provide meaningful information and insight.

- Build data models and tools using appropriate statistical methods which deliver concrete and valuable insights

- Partner with multi-global stake-holders to drive product and/or operations performance reviews as needed, helping to identifying key performance indicators and business requirements along the way.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field desired (Master's degree preferred)

Additional Requirements

While the following skill is not essential, it would be helpful in this role:

- Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) knowledge and experience.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $97,700 and $162,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
