We are currently seeking a Senior Field Technical Service Engineer who will be responsible for providing frontline support by resolving customers' problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting.

What we’ll get you doing:

• Investigate and report faults occurring on equipment where no formal training has been attended but is within the individuals’ skill level and understanding.
• Ensure on time escalation. Provide local interface to customer via support of Escalation Management process. Give second level technical support to Field Service Engineers when customer problems have reached an appropriate escalation point.
• Carry out and support installation of new high-end complex systems, achieve optimum customer satisfaction, and ensure effective and efficient professional repairs.
• Act as product expert as needed. Provide regular feedback to product support on manuals as changes are made. Participate in product escalation meetings as the onsite technical expert.
• Perform basic introductory training to customer for new installations or upgrades performed and impart information of a technical nature to colleagues.
• Support customers in the North America Region for service-related tasks such as preventive maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, validation services, and phone support (including Helpdesk support as requested).
• Mentor new hires – Provide feedback on new hires’ onboarding progress. As needed. Has proven experience mentoring multiple individuals.

The essential requirements of the role include:

• Overnight travel up to 90%.
• Associates Degree with 6+ years of experience. Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Field Service Engineer.
• Maintaining a valid driver’s license that meets Molecular Devices’ safe driver standards.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Scientific research instruments, scientific background, or a similar technical profession.
• A demonstrated/exceptional track record with proficiency on multiple instrument types.
• Flexible scheduling and willingness to support a large region. Will help develop a scheduling technique to support new product line meeting customers’ response expectations.

The salary range for this role is $95,000-$110,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
