Senior Vice President – Commercial Maintenance Division
We are currently seeking a Vice President to lead our client’s commercial maintenance division with three branches in the state of Florida, representing over $35MM in revenue. The ideal candidate should have strong business insight, solid leadership abilities, and excellent customer relations skills. You should be the type of leader who inspires and motivates your team toward greater efficiency and the Division towards profitability. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Hire, train, retain, mentor, and energize each person to form high-performing, high morale, result-oriented teams with an ownership mentality focused on safety, efficiency, productivity, profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction while delivering high-quality services.
- Have regular communication and meetings with team members and clients while building enduring relationships with them.
- Develop long and short-term strategic business planning for your branch.
- Communicate and collaborate with senior management and other departments for strategic decisions including organic growth, growth by acquisition, identifying corporate areas of improvement, and managing the corporate vision.
- Collaborate with the HR function on people attraction, development, and retention.
- Be accountable for the efficiency of client work and increasing market share for the branches.
- Lead by example as teams strive for 100% highly satisfied customers. Identify ways to provide more value to the customer
- Establish goals, priorities and objectives for business development and operations teams and lead the execution of such.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of new team members.
- Be responsible for the multimillion-dollar P&L of the three branches, expediting contracts and billing, and hiring, training and inspiring and developing branch leaders and staff.
- Be responsible for overall management responsibility for the landscape maintenance branches and division.
- In collaboration with your branch management teams, review estimates, bids, proposals, and contracts.
- Working with the branch operations team, ensure work is executed with the highest quality and that budgets are met, and margins are exceeded.
- Always learning while teaching others to do the same.
- Lead business development, focusing on selling the full cycle that our client offers.
SKILLS:
- Experience growing a branch/business is preferred.
- A working knowledge of business accounting and P&L statements is required, plus broad knowledge of horticulture, landscaping equipment and managing a fleet of company vehicles.
- Demonstrated people development and performance management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with landscaping/service industry and financial principles
- Familiarity of maintenance and production techniques for a self-performing contractor.
- Minimum of 10 years of commercial landscape management or related service industry experience and no less than 5 years successfully managing the P&L.
