A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR CONSTRUCTION PRESIDENT

As the Construction President at WestCoast WORXX, your pivotal role involves overseeing all construction projects and contracts, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. You'll set measurable performance standards, establish companywide systems, and collaborate with staff to implement effective reporting, project controls, financial controls, and employee relations. Your exceptional organizational and communication skills will be crucial in effectively conveying the company's status and direction to staff, owners, and partners. Managing and mentoring team members, you'll enhance overall performance and foster a culture of growth and development. With a comprehensive understanding of construction operations, you'll train and guide team members to optimize both individual and company performance.

In your position as Construction President, you'll plan, staff, and supervise work unit activities through subordinate managers to ensure operational unity. Supporting professional development and aligning goals with corporate objectives, you'll provide guidance to executives and managers. As part of the Executive Management Team, you'll contribute to strategic decision-making and help shape the company's future. Additionally, you'll be responsible for maintaining primary profit/loss accountability for assigned operational units, working closely with the CEO and stakeholders to establish a company culture aligned with the owners' vision. Your role will also involve training the next generation in project management and leadership skills, ensuring the company's ongoing success.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Driver's License with proof of insurance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Project Management software
• Demonstrated ability to maximize company profitability
• 4-year degree in technical or business administration or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Extensive experience in construction management
• Strong leadership, motivational, and analytical skills

Preferred Requirements

Our ideal candidate preferably has a stable job history with large construction firms performing high sales volumes. We're also looking for a candidate that has 20+ years of construction company experience, with at least 5 years in a President/COO or Divisional Management role.

WORK SCHEDULE

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required due to the demand of the job. Travel between job sites, owners' meetings, conferences, training, and seminars is also required.
