Job Description

Reporting to the President/CEO, this role will serve as the thought leader on effective organizational facets that enable attraction, engagement, and retention of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce that demonstrates and experiences a genuine sense of belonging.This position works collaboratively with Corporate Leadership and across the organization to develop, evolve, and execute human capital strategy for the organization on all aspects related to human resources management.


Responsibilities include


Leads the Enterprise organizational development efforts by collaborating with organizational leaders to create systemic change focused on improving employee engagement and productivity by strengthening the human processes through which work is completed. Leads planned initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness and capability.


Serves as the strategic leader for diversity, equity and inclusion ensuring the organization values the unique strengths that each role and each member of the team brings to the organization and helps the team to work as one.


Leads mission critical strategies that focus on enhancing employee engagement, advancing leadership development, supporting workforce development, improving organizational performance, integrating human resource processes across the Enterprise and branding NYBC as a desired employer in the market.


Through the management of direct reports, oversees the strategic deployment of Human Resources services, which are delivered timely, effectively and efficiently; and in a manner that supports the strategic and operating objectives of NYBC.


Support Enterprise Executive Leadership in assessing performance capability and organizational structure.


Education


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, MBA preferred.


Experience


15+ years of experience in leadership roles, with a broad depth of experience in organizational design, management coaching, team building, compensation, employee relations, employee engagement talent management, training, and HR program implementation.


Experience working in a regional role with strong matrix ties to HR functional partnership for enterprise consistency.


Knowledge


Expert knowledge of Human Resource processes, employment legislation, and legal regulations; familiar with FMLA, ADA, ERISA, HIPAA, AAP,


Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software Workday, Kronos, Oracle ICIMS

Strong written and communication skills required with excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills


Travel


Ability to travel approximately 20%
