• Oversee the end-to-end development process, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of games.
• Drive the selection of appropriate technologies, development methodologies, and infrastructure requirements to support the company's mobile game development goals.
• Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Define and communicate the engineering vision, technical strategy, and roadmap to align with the company's overall goals.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration between engineering and other departments, ensuring a seamless integration of technical and business goals.
• Collaborate with product and art teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and feasible development plans.
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team from scratch, including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.
• Implement agile methodologies, streamlined workflows, and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and delivery velocity.
• Develop and implement performance management processes, providing regular feedback and coaching to team members.
• Identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for process improvement within the engineering department.
• Collaborate closely with product, art, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, prioritize projects, and align engineering efforts with company objectives.
• Promote a culture of aggressive testing and a relentless pursuit of excellence to deliver quality releases to our users.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging engineers to explore new technologies and innovate in the mobile gaming space.
• Set clear objectives, inspire and motivate the team to achieve technical milestones.

• Ability to identify and resolve potential issues or inconsistencies proactively, ensuring that all aspects of the engineering deliverables are thorough and precise.
• In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and development methodologies.
• Strong technical background and expertise in mobile game development, including familiarity with Unity and iOS and Android platforms.
• Multi-disciplinary engineering experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Unity game dev
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A keen eye for design aesthetics and user experience, ensuring that the final product meets both functional and visual excellence.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on maintaining high-quality standards throughout the development process.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the free-to-play mobile gaming industry
• Proven track record of meticulously reviewing code, designs, and product specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to best practices.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that all project components align with established specifications.
• Experience implementing robust testing and quality assurance processes to ensure bug-free releases and an exceptional user experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (advanced degree preferred).

$250,000 - $300,000 a year

Salary: $250,000-$300,000 per year

Stock Options: 1-2% Equity ownership
