Senior Ui/Ux Developer

Fuse Oncology is creating a new practice management platform that improves efficiency, quality, and safety in oncology practices, sitting in a unique position of providing benefits to physicians, administrators, treatment staff and - most importantly - patients! We are working on applications to support the entire patient engagement cycle, from compressing the time required to take cancer patients from initial consultation to treatment, to streamlining the billing process and automating tasks to reduce error rates.

We are looking for an experienced, creative, skilled UI/UX developer to lead the functional and graphical design of applications and web interfaces with optimal functionality, ease of use, efficiency, and aesthetics for the end-user in mind. This role will work with developers to provide innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience, presented in an attractive and organized way.

To be successful, you should have depth of experience leading significant UX/UI projects, excellent knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and be able to leverage your software development experience to build quality solutions. In addition to this, working well in a team, being self-organized with attention to detail, and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines is essential.

-Able to clearly express the reasoning behind your UI/UX design decisions, explaining trade-offs or technical limitations

-Significant experience designing web applications and/or application UIs

-Knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction

-Possess a refined aesthetic sense adaptable to common trends

-A strong understanding of end-to-end design, including information architecture, usability testing, layout, typography, and visual hierarchy

-Experience working with open-source tools and commercial design products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.)

-Project leadership and organization for UX/UI related goals

Some of the things you’ll do:

-Lead the research and creation of user workflows and software interface concepts in a healthcare environment

-Independently manage UX/UI process from start to finish

-Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product development teams to define and implement designs

-Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas

-Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps

-Implement all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to the Engineering team.

-Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks

-Use visual frameworks creatively to produce designs, new styles and patterns that are visually cohesive

-Use your experience and knowledge of design tools to best solve and communicate user flows, interaction, and motion, and know which tool to use depending on the scope and phase of the project

-Develop UI mockups and HTML prototypes that clearly illustrate how an application would appear and function in real-time

-Create well-crafted, modern UI elements, components, and graphic designs, as needed
