As part of the Azure Customer Experience, Program Management Office (PMO) org, the Pulse team is a lean, agile, and extremely collaborative group of Program Managers who are customer-obsessed, empowered, and adept at working across engineering teams, key roles in the field (e.g. Cloud Solution Architects, Account Execs, Customer Success Account Managers), and across Microsoft to enable customers. Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Program Manager in CXP’s (Customer Experience Program) Mission Critical Program, you will be a leader in the buildout and go-to-market strategy for one of Azure’s most important, high-visibility programs. You will leverage your experience, knowledge, and energy across different program aspects such as technical delivery of features, strategic coordination between executive stakeholders, and requirements across engineering teams.

In this role, you will focus on improving the customer experience for business critical workloads on Azure. Specifically:
  • Defining key performance indicators for program success, customer workload health, and customer satisfaction with program benefits
  • Assists others responsible for program strategy development to examine program performance, drive value added capabilities, and customer adoption
  • Support and contribute to performing program landscape research and analysis, examining cloud consumption trends, and customer requirements
  • Coordination with technical and business teams to better understand customer challenges and define measurable outcome targets for improvement
  • Independent collation and evaluation of success criteria and performance metrics using scorecards and dashboards to monitor program success and ensure program activities align with business objectives
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to design global success measures across disparate teams for mission critical workloads

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
