Associate Technical Program Manager - Factory Engineering

What To Expect
Designing and building world-class Gigafactories, at record speed, is key to enable Tesla to scale worldwide. In this role, you will own and drive portions of Giga Texas scoping, technical planning, integration of manufacturing layouts and drive the factory design and construction from concept, design to execution and production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory engineering, manufacturing, construction, and technical program management. The role requires a highly organized mindset, a passion for driving multi-disciplinary projects, and an unparalleled ability to pull people together to make things happen.
What You’ll Do

• Fundamentally understands and scrutinizes technical stakeholders' requirements and translate them into project scope with clear execution plan and responsibilities.
• Owns factory Plan of Record and scope definition by integrating comprehensive factory requirements, layouts, and goals.
• Support and owns for specific scope the factory scoping efforts by pulling together the cross functional teams, understands their needs, drives technical planning, defines options/tradeoffs/cost/schedule/impacts, and secures alignment between the working and leadership teams.
• Be the bridge that secures program alignment between the large cross functional team needed to design, plan, and build a manufacturing factory. Notably, various manufacturing teams, production, factory engineering, construction, facilities, material flow, workplace & people spaces, and more.
• Support and owns for specific scope program schedule, requirements, and reporting tools for visibility on progress, risks, changes, etc.
• Support and own specific projects related to Factory TPM continuous improvement approach to enhance program management efficiency.
• Support Funding request: Define & Analyze technical scope, identify opportunities for improvement, Drive cost improvement initiatives, streamline design to quote process.

What You’ll Bring

• Good knowledge in data management, and reporting tools (BI)
• B.S. in Engineering and M.S. preferred, OR equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
• Good knowledge of project management methodology.
• Experience and understanding manufacturing & industrial environment, building and manufacturing facilities design and construction.
• Positive, enthusiastic, fast learner, can-do mindset and passionate about manufacturing infrastructure.
• Thrives under pressure and in ambiguous environments.
• Engineering experience on manufacturing and industrial projects from concept to delivery.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan.
