Responsibilities
· Leading a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff responsible for maintaining existing medical products.
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including quality, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure that the product remains compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
· Identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction in the product lifecycle and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
· Ensuring that the product remains safe and effective throughout its lifecycle by overseeing design changes, product testing, and risk management.
· Developing and managing budgets, schedules, and resource allocations for sustaining engineering projects.
· Working with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns and providing technical support as needed.
· Maintaining documentation and records to comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
· Providing technical leadership and mentorship to team members to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or in a related discipline
· Master’s degree in engineering preferred
· 5+ years of experience in medical device development or related industries
· Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, and product lifecycle management
· Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and tasks
· Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
· Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
