Job Description

Aerospace Sales Representative

This role will focus and coordinate new business development with Tier 1 aerospace and defense companies.


Responsibilities

  • Support new customer sales by providing training, coaching, contract negotiations, product marketing material, local visits/ workshops with the customers for all products & services to gain success of existing and future products.
  • Develop sales strategies and concepts in order to achieve sales, grow market share, and increase customers while taking into consideration customer requirements.
  • Coordinate internally to prepare RFX responses in accordance with defined procedures for internal approvals and preparation of proposals.
  • Provide and negotiate solutions for customer escalations in regard to sales orders and other related topics as needed.
  • Understand new product development and knowledge of competition and market trends to contribute to sales requirements in the marketplace.
  • Support negotiations with customer for the pre-award activities and for contracts of an awarded program.
  • Responsible for representing the organization in a professional manner: sales calls, product and company presentations, trade shows, conference calls, and meetings.
  • Define mapping and provide transparency to the organization regarding offer strategy considering customer requirements, project estimation (through quoting engineer), timeline and customer approach in coordination with respective departments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customer personnel, including buyers, material program managers, program managers, and other procurement personnel.
  • Initiate and execute strategic projects to further enhance our company competencies.
  • Coordinate handoff of new sales to account managers, including quality requirements, FARS/DFARS requirements, and key customer contacts.
  • Bridge the gap between our customers and our internal operations team: supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong team and leadership skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills are required.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience in aerospace manufacturing required.
  • Experience with machined metal parts and aerospace/defense primes are highly desired.
  • 25% travel
  • Results oriented, a self-starter and a fast learner.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to conceptualize new ideas, strategies, etc.
