The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Sr. Director Threat Defense for the Health Care Business Division, you will bring in leading and best practices to build a world-class threat defense capability. As a proven leader, you will shape the strategy for defense across the attack surface of the company that represents a global footprint

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Serving as the principal liaison with global Federal, State, and Local law enforcement, closely partner with the Internal Controls, Legal, Compliance, communications, Public relations and business functions
• Continuously enhancing and improving the incident response playbook. Developing organizational councils or committees that promote the terms of incident response plan and crises management across the organization
• Building, augmenting, and integrating detection and remediation capabilities into security operations
• Providing direct supervision to assigned employees through leadership, coaching, training, development, allocating work assignment, review of progress in achieving objectives managing employee compensation, performance appraisals, diversity, disability, all relevant employee data, etc. Understands and enforces corporate/location policies and procedures. May manage workforce vendors and contracts
• Providing threat hunting, incident response, security operations center, and digital forensics leadership and coordination for cyber security incidents. You will apply from your prior experiences where you have led remediation efforts in high impact cyber security incidents
• Partner with Legal IP, HR, cybersecurity, global security, internal audit, global privacy and functional teams to build a comprehensive insider threat program
• Cultivating long term relationships with external agencies, federal and government representatives, regional regulatory bodies and partner companies to produce pipeline of high-quality threat intelligence
• Driving development of robust alerting and reporting mechanisms to potential cyber threats

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

OR

• High School Diploma/GED or higher from a (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of nineteen (19) years of experience in Information technology

• Twelve (12) combined years of work experience in leading threat detection and/or response and/or crises management for an international organization in a private, public, government or military environment
• Five (5) years of experience with intrusions analysis and security incident response of broad-based cyber threats

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Extensive experience in building high performance and diverse cross functional teams
• Hands-on experience enhancing EDR, SIEM, SOAR technologies and integration with SOC operations
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or Information Security from an accredited institution
• Extensive experience and strong understanding of multiple forms of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and corresponding capabilities to detect and alert on them
• Exceptional bias for action and ownership
• Experience with benchmarking practices against industry practices, specially tied to expectations of Healthcare industry and regulatory as HIPAA, Fedramp, Stateramp
