Job Description

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER


On behalf of our client, OneAccord is excited to present this newly created position for a leader, who has industrial equipment design, fabrication and integration experience, who is self-motivated, self-directed, and experienced in metal fabrication for custom production with proven success and looking to advance their career to be the right-hand person to the President of the company! This role will help advance the continued growth and expansion of this industry leader!


This Eastern Washington headquartered company specializes in Industrial Equipment and Integrated Systems for the Food and Beverage sector, while holding deep expertise in the fruit and vegetable processing market throughout the country! By leveraging a network of contractors this company is able to lead the industry for over 10 years through facilitating seamless integrations of new systems and automation enhancements for the majority of the companies in the food and beverage industry.


Overview of this role:


The Sr Project Manager (Sr PM) is part of the Eastern WA team that will lead large, complex integrated system projects that range from $1M to $30M+. Projects are mostly throughout the U.S. and will require travel to the construction site as needed, to create a collaborative, successful and profitable execution of the solutions created for our customers. The Sr PM will work very closely with the President to learn while utilizing the experience that has been achieved up to this point in your career, allowing the Sr PM to take more and more off the Presidents plate while building relationships with Engineers, Estimators, Foreman, Sales, Installation teams, and Vendors who will be key to the success of the projects execution. This role will also provide sales support for the company and the development process on strategy, vendor/partner’s execution scope enhancements, value engineering, risk assessment etc., as needed.


Ensures that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed within budget and within scope of the contract. Maintains positive cash flow. Ensures work performed is in compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. Responsible for following consistent and repeatable project management procedures and processes. Maintains an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results.


Senior Project Manager duties and responsibilities:


  • Monitor & create the job budgets for material & labor through weekly meetings for the job cost and monitoring the crew
  • Attend job site meetings, as needed
  • Must possess excellent organizational, verbal and correspondence skills
  • Processing change orders
  • Communicate with the President and Engineering Manager to keep the project aligned with their goals and for allocation of resources needed to meet project objectives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams and liaison to the President when multiple divisions are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy with strong collaboration
  • Work with the President and become the ‘right hand’ person and a primary internal leader to receive the handoff of projects that move from Bid to Accepted projects
  • Attend & participate in the weekly manpower and estimators’ meetings
  • Resolve disputes with minimal need for escalation, to ensure quality and excellent customer service/retention.
  • Delegate tasks on the project to resources best positioned to complete them
  • Project scheduling, Labor/Resource scheduling and Material/Equipment schedules
  • Work directly with customers to fulfill project goals and expectations
  • Work with accounting to properly bill jobs & change orders
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as the project changes
  • Collaborate with vendors, partners, leadership to build relationships that increase performance, successful deliverables, necessary details for project success and overcome potentials issues with a relationship enhancing and collaborative focus


Knowledge and Skills Required:


  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in Industrial Project Management
  • Construction knowledge and have the ability to read blueprints.
  • Minimum of a 2-Year degree; 4-Year degree is preferred or proven related experience
  • AutoCAD/Navis Knowledge
  • Excellent, communication skills; listening, comprehension, and feedback

  • Hours – Monday – Friday 7:00AM-4:30PM, or as Project dictates - hybrid/remote work available

Pay Range: DOE, very competitive, plus yearly bonus incentive up to 15% of annual salary
