Job Description
Summary
The Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity will lead and oversee the development and execution of the supplier diversity program within our organization. The Senior Manager is responsible for driving supplier diversity initiatives, fostering relationships with diverse suppliers, and ensuring compliance with supplier diversity regulations and goals. The Senior Manager’s strategic approach will contribute to the company's commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our supply chain. The Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive and diverse supply chain. By developing and implementing effective strategies, building relationships, and promoting supplier diversity internally and externally, this role will contribute to the company's overall success and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on supplier diversity program performance, including metrics, achievements, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of the supplier diversity program.
  • Support the Vice President in developing, formalizing, and communicating plans, activities, etc. and with internal and external DE&I networking and engagement
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Develop and Implement Supplier Diversity Strategy:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate supplier diversity into procurement processes and practices.
  • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate internal stakeholders about the benefits and importance of supplier diversity.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, corporate policies, and supplier diversity goals.
  • Create and manage a project plan to track key integration activities, draw attention to at-risk functions, and ensure key dates are achieved.
  • Coordinate key issues between teams/subject matter experts to facilitate discussion and decision making.
  • Identify and assess potential diverse suppliers that align with the company's needs and requirements.
  • Supplier Identification and Relationship Management:
  • Supplier Diversity Program Promotion:
  • Establish and nurture relationships with diverse suppliers, providing support, guidance, and feedback to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement, legal, and finance, to incorporate supplier diversity requirements into sourcing strategies and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct discovery activities to determine the desired performance outcomes and existing performance gaps based on business needs
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to highlight success stories and achievements related to supplier diversity initiatives.
  • Engage with external organizations, diverse business associations, and advocacy groups to leverage partnerships and identify potential diverse suppliers.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships:
  • Stay up to date with supplier diversity regulations, guidelines, and reporting requirements.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned
  • Create a comprehensive supplier diversity strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and events to promote supplier diversity and share best practices.
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to promote the supplier diversity program internally and externally.
  • Facilitate project kickoffs and milestone meetings with Business Stakeholders and appropriately engaging other partners.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of diverse suppliers through proactive outreach, networking, and attending supplier diversity events.
  • Prepare for and facilitate project meetings to drive action towards our critical deliverable dates.
Minimum Requirements:
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 7+ Years

  • Ability to understand complex issues
  • Experience leading complex projects spanning multiple knowledge, technical and functional disciplines
  • Strong computer skills, including intermediate to expert skill level of MS Office and SharePoint
  • Experienced leading internal initiatives
  • Position will not have direct reports
  • Limited Travel Requirement (1-2 meetings during the year at Corporate Office)
  • Ability to succeed in team-based or independent environments
  • Passionate/Motivated to be continously pushed to learn and work across differences
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionaly, verbally and in writing, to all segments of the population
  • 7+ years of project management experience which must include leadership of at least one complex/major project
  • Must possess exceptional organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Comfortable working in diverse settings
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 5+ years experience in Supplier Diversity space

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
