Job Description

Randstad Sourceright (RSR) operates in 70 countries, across 360 RPO programs and more than 800 managed services programs. We have US$ 11.8 billion spend under our management and employ more than 3,800 talent experts. We create value by combining our proven processes with high-output technology to create efficiency, scalability, and flexibility — all with an eye on a company’s future business and talent needs. Randstad Sourceright is a truly global company and so are our clients.

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is the team within RSR who are responsible for managing all vendors in the provision of talent and services to MSP clients. The team’s aim is to use RSR’s global client portfolio and huge spend under management to act as a strategic partner, connecting client needs to supply capability. SCM is a global function spread across North America, EMEA and APAC and made up of 40 individuals. This role would sit within the “SoW” vertical in the SCM structure (“Implementation & Administration” and “Contingent” being the other two verticals). Although the primary focus of this role is on SoW vendors, the whole team operates to a flexible model to ensure there is sufficient coverage and the individual would be expected to support any of Implementation & Administration or Contingent if and when needed.

In the SoW space, RSR works extensively with a whole range of vendors from the largest, global Tier 1 services providers right through to smaller, local niche vendors. Our goal is to be seen by all vendors as a credible ‘market maker’ for them, a facilitator to opportunity and increased business, a company they can truly partner with in order to help meet client goals whilst also achieving their own ambitions.

We are looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) - SOW for our brand-new program in the B2C retail industry (sportswear and fashion). Our new client is a world leader in this field. In addition to this client, this role will have other clients in this industry sector to manage.

Overall, the SRM will be responsible for four things -

  1. A particular industry specialism - the industry for this role is B2C retail.
  2. A portfolio of client accounts in this industry to whom the SRM will provide ongoing supply chain advice, guidance and execution of activities.
  3. A vendor base in this industry, including a small number of strategic Enterprise Level vendor relationships which the SRM will be responsible for owning and developing.
  4. Vendor management in the implementation of new SoW MSP programs.

The SRM will be responsible for the full life cycle of our vendor relationships including; relationship initiation, commercial, operational and legal constructs, managing vendor through program implementation, ongoing relationship management post go-live on individual client accounts as well as at an overall Enterprise level. The SRM will lead discussions with suppliers regarding their capabilities, new opportunities, total enterprise level commercial, legal and operational constructs, service delivery performance across all accounts and drive results to improve the services provided to Randstad’s client programs.

Our SRM is ideally from a blue chip background of managing large scale SoW service provider relationships. This could be from a Procurement background, or a Business or IT supplier management background. The SRM is ideally somebody who can show they’ve worked with Global Tier 1 SoW vendors, have built strong relationships with them and delivered value from these relationships over a multi year period.

Our SRM needs to be fluent with MSA and SoW contract language, data analytics and supplier relationship dynamics including commercial, legal and operational constructs. In addition, the SRM will collaborate with the Client Services team to understand client requirements and facilitate communication and feedback to and from suppliers on program topics and performance issues. You will also need to be willing to have tough conversations with suppliers/clients in order to drive compliance and top performance.

Main responsibilities:
