Sr. Manager, Procurement Activation-Ingredients:
The Sr. Manager, Procurement Activation-Ingredients is responsible for leading a team of procurement professionals who translate the Cold Business Unit Strategy into a workable model for the Category Management team and who execute category strategies by providing analytical, project management, and tactical execution support for those categories. This Senior Manager is also responsible for the direct execution of one or more Ingredient categories and partners with the Sr. Director Procurement Activation to drive value within the Procurement team and who collaborates within the Procurement Operations Team to be an Ambassador of Progress within the global Procurement organization.
The position is based in our Burlington, MA or Frisco, TX office and will have a hybrid schedule.
What you will do:
Development of Business Unit Strategy
- Provide insights and mapping of Supply Chain capabilities and demand to effectively manage risk
- Represent Procurement on key activities that have an impact on the performance of the business
- Partner with Supply Chain team members to develop the material requirements as it relates to volume, performance, and replenishment strategies
Execution of Procurement Category Strategy
- Utilize procurement tools including SAP, Ariba, Celonis, Cognos, and Tableau to interact with data, to extrapolate insights and assess trends, and to make recommendations for improvement
- Lead strategic efforts, internally and externally, to improve supplier service and material availability for the ingredient categories in KDP’s Cold Beverage business unit
- Serve as an escalation point for manufacturing and planning within the Material Service Alert (MSA) process to secure on-time deliveries
Compliance
- Follow all KDP policies and procedures and exemplify KDP values of Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, and Be Fearless and Fair.
- Develop and monitor performance of suppliers to material KPIs, including defective parts per million (DPPM) and On-Time/In-Full.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years as a supervisor or manager, or as leader of cross-functional project teams.
- Proven ability to interact with management at all levels and to participate in setting strategic direction for the procurement team.
- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on supply chain, procurement, or related area from an accredited university
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in cross-functional supply chain roles, preferably in the Consumer Products Group or Beverage sectors
- Ability to work with multiple departments and to determine and interpret business needs and to translate those needs into system requirements and effective action plans.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging deadlines, lead a team of professionals and solve problems, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Process orientation with an enterprise mindset.
- Strong Project Management skills
- Strong systems knowledge. Experience working with ERP systems, SAP and SAP Ariba, preferred.
