Position Summary:
The Senior Operations Manager plays a critical role in the firm, responsible for ensuring trial support team’s needs are well supported to meet best client outcomes. The position is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Operations and trial team leaders for best practice strategies, anticipating challenges and planning for changing needs. Focusing on customer satisfaction, you will lead a team of office support professionals committed to providing quality results. Your exceptional leadership and communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across the firm to achieve common objectives. Through fostering a culture of continuous learning, relationship-building, and high performance, you help drive the firm's strategy to deliver exceptional user experiences, increasing profitability, and optimizing operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in achieving the firm's goals and upholding its commitment to excellence.
Position Responsibilities:
- Promote awareness and adoption of existing and new technologies, resources, and processes.
- Continually evaluate and add expertise and service offerings to meet lawyers’ and user changing needs.
- Collaborate with Director to develop the annual staffing plan and budget for the Support Center teams and manage to meet approved budgets.
- Maintain knowledge of AI, workflow, and automation technology.
- Monitor usage and create strategies to ensure confidence and consistent use by firm.
- Provide timely feedback and training to team leader, lawyers and staff on the services provided from the Support Center teams.
- Assist Director of Operations in leading and developing ‘best in industry’ Support Center Teams.
- Collaborate with other groups across the firm to execute projects using cost efficient mix of people, process, and technology.
- Consistently seek ways to better serve clients and streamline processes.
- Encourage creative thinking in managing requests and validating opportunities to deliver services differently.
- Create agile staffing strategies including creating best practices to prioritize projects and appropriately allocate resources.
Knowledge, Experience and Education:
- At least 5-10 years of experience in legal operations management, with a focus on results.
- Proficiency with project management software, strong knowledge of workflow management software.
- An ability to influence, negotiate and gain consensus where conflicting viewpoints may exist
- A strong sense of accountability, comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities, and ability to take ownership of projects and tasks.
- Strong management skills to successfully implement new technologies and processes.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to work, projects, interactions, and service.
- An ability to build rapport and strong working relationships with business stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage up. down and across and motivate teams.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- BA/BS degree (or commensurate work experience).
- Ability to act as a trusted, strategic advisor to leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing policies and procedures related to legal support services.
- Confident approach, the ability to challenge and influence the status quo when required, and effectively manage business expectations.
- Diplomacy skills to build consensus and work effectively across departments, offices, global teams, and lawyers at all seniority levels.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Fleet and Device Management including security requirements.
- Onsite Support Teams oversight
- Knowledge of all active and upcoming case calendar and trial needs.
- Supply Ordering processes and monitoring budget compliance.
- Offsite Resource Coordination
- Network Integration collaboration
Salary | Compensation:
115-140K (DOE/DOQ). Firm offers a comprehensive benefits package along with a collaborative work environment.
