We are looking for an experienced senior leader with multi-family property management experience and a proven track record with respect to optimizing property management performance on a national level across multiple regions and markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for property management activity, property management staff and related activity in a rapidly growing platform that has robust acquisition and build to rent (BTR) activity. This position will report to the Executive Vice President of Operations and lead a team of 6 Regional Vice President/Managing Director level direct reports with oversight of ~800 associates across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Acts as a role model for open, honest and effective communication, seeing the bigger picture, broad and detailed understanding of the Company's strategy.
- Read, analyze, create, and interpret documents including financial reports such as budgets, P&Ls, balance sheets, general ledgers, and legal documents.
- Directs and monitors all short and long-term performance, objectives, and strategic planning initiatives
- Achieving financial performance objectives and managing the portfolio’s financial operations following company and regulatory guidelines
- Uses an in depth understanding of change management to deliver major change projects
- Oversees major decisions and ensures that team members implement their portfolio objectives and work plans
- Effectively communicate with executive leadership and client ownership/asset management regarding overall property management activity
- Empowers the team to monitor progress against strategy and take appropriate corrective action where needed Innovating and Improving
- Leads the team to think broadly and flexibly about the strategic opportunities and challenges facing the business
- Accountable for the performance of properties against approved property operating and capital budgets and is responsible for the development and implementation of property management policies and procedures that are in compliance with all regulatory agency requirements
- Shows the confidence and courage to challenge and influence wider business strategy; articulates a clear vision of 'where we are going' to build understanding and support
- Interprets and analyzes a range of business information, in partnership with our analytics team, to identify strategic opportunities for improvement/growth
Primary partners within the business include:
- Vice President of Facilities – They oversee all of Facilities
- Vice President of Asset Management
- Managing Directors – your team of direct reports as they oversee the site operations on a regional level
- Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships – Liaison to 3rd party partners
- Executive Vice Presidents of Investments

Building Blocks of Success
- Experience leading large, complex organizations, including guidance and management of regionalized teams
- 20+ years broad experience in hospitality, property management, real estate, or retail operations along with 7+ years’ experience in senior leadership position
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Successful track record with respect to prioritizing multiple initiatives – including rapid execution and sense of urgency regarding completion of key tasks within set timeframes.
- Strong business acumen, strategic planning, business plan execution and metric/results driven
