The position

The Senior Manager, People Enablement is responsible for our People Operations, People Programs and Learning & Development at Remote. This role’s focus will be to design and implement strategies that enable a high performance culture in a global, fully remote environment. This area of our People Enablement Team drives efficient and scalable processes and policies, leads our HRIS administration & People analytics, creates and implements Talent Development and Learning opportunities, and fosters a culture of innovation. This role will be crucial in aligning and leveling up our Remoters’ experience through People processes, policies, data and programs with Remote’s values, goals, and mission in mind.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to align our People processes, policies, and programs with the company's values, goals, and mission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute People Programs, including performance management, engagement, goals, and career development.
  • Lead initiatives to measure and enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall employee experience.
  • Champion a culture of innovation by introducing creative approaches to talent management, employee engagement, and learning and development initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for our HR information system (HRIS), overseeing data integrity and system functionality.
  • Design a robust L&D strategy & roadmap that includes learning frameworks, curriculum and pathways inline with company values and specific business priorities and outcomes.
  • Act as an advocate for remote working, Remote’s values and DEI, ensuring these are experienced throughout the employee experience.
  • Assess and optimize existing People processes, policies, and programs to ensure sustainability and scalability as we grow. Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Improve efficiency and automation of various processes and administration tasks so the team can continue to focus and grow with impactful responsibilities.
  • Act as the escalation point for the team, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Continuously and proactively seek excellence: research, identify and implement best practices and People Programs and Development initiatives to ensure an inclusive, positive and proactive employee experience while remaining aligned to team goals and priorities.
  • Lead, develop and motivate a team that consists of People Operations, People Programs and Learning & Development.
  • Design and iterate to create an amazing employee experience for our global, fully remote workforce.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Proven ability to handle complex employee relations issues with discretion and sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated track record of fostering innovation and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in an organization. Proven ability to introduce and implement creative solutions.
  • Ability to align People processes, policies, and programs with company values, goals, and mission. Strong strategic thinking skills to drive sustainable and scalable solutions.
  • It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and proficiency in HR data analysis.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire others.
  • 7+ years experience within People Operations and People Programs roles in fast paced environments, with at least 4 years experience managing a team.
  • Writes and speaks fluent English.
  • In-depth understanding of People Operations, HR policies, Learning and Development strategies, and talent management practices.
