AT A GLANCE:

Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Talent + Development to join our growing Human Capital team. This role is responsible for partnering with the Director, Memory Maker Experience to drive thought leadership, strategic direction, and execution of enterprise-wide talent, culture, engagement and development priorities across Broad River Retail. This Leader is a champion for the Memory Maker (Employee) Experience which includes Onboarding, Learning and Development, Inclusion and Belonging, Talent Management, Engagement, Purpose, Rewards and Recognition.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:

  • Build strong and effective relationships with our Leadership Team to become a trusted partner, coach and voice throughout the organization
  • Manage and coordinate organization-wide efforts to ensure that Performance Management programs are developed and speak directly to our Talent Philosophy
  • Facilitate and sponsor a cross-functional employee experience team with the goal of driving measurable improvements in our overall experience including engagement and retention
  • Provide expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of the Talent Review process to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent
  • Build a culture of high performance and productivity, engagement and recognition, along with talent identification for training and developmental pathways
  • Partner with Leaders, colleagues, and key stakeholders to create solutions (e.g., tools, programs, processes, educational content) based on assessments, organization needs, industry and regulatory standards, and best practices
  • Develop, initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning
  • Oversee teams who are responsible for Talent Management and Learning & Development
  • Identify and implement metrics to measure performance in these areas and to develop action plans and objectives to continuously foster engagement and development
  • Ensure that organization-wide Talent Management and Performance Management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Responsible for advancing the skills and knowledge of our Memory Makers by supporting the implementation of new training programs while enhancing current programs that align our people priorities with business goals
  • Build a learning strategy that can be delivered across multiple learning outlets and measured for success and effectiveness
  • Work collaboratively with Leaders across the organization to establish meaningful and worthwhile learning experiences that build both core competencies and professional skills
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Lead and develop Talent + Development team members by establishing meeting cadences and team building events

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Experience leading diverse project teams to successful outcomes
  • Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) creation and management
  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred but not required
  • Strong relationship building skills as well as a collaborative spirit – must be able to partner with peers and colleagues throughout Human Capital as well as the Enterprise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field plus 7+ years’ experience in a management role or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, problem solver, who is flexible and adaptive to change
  • Strong communication, executive presentation skills and facilitation skills.
  • Must be highly organized, able to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • 2-4 years professional experience in Learning & Development experience including developing, implementing and delivering training, learnings and development programs
  • Must possess a strong passion to provide a safe, diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all Broad River Retail Memory Makers
  • High degree of attention to detail and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Must be able to listen and influence with empathy and inspire others to be the difference.
  • Strong cognitive skills required; including the ability to learn quickly, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously and be highly productive without needing much supervision
  • Ability to perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:

  • Will report to Fort Mill, SC corporate office with Hybrid role as an option
  • Monday through Friday work schedule
  • Physical requirements such as repetitive bending, lifting, and squatting. Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Able to drive to travel to company locations as necessary
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and/or electronically
  • Be able to routinely lift 15 lbs. alone, or team lift heavier pieces
