Kimberly-Clark’s global Corporate Strategy team has played a key role in solving the company’s largest and most pressing strategic issues for the past 10+ years. The group’s purpose is to lead development and implementation of enterprise-wide strategy and develop strategic recommendations on issues at the highest level of the organization, while serving as a talent pipeline for the company.


Scope/Organizational Relationships:

The Senior Manager – Corporate Strategy will report to the Senior Director or Director of Corporate Strategy within the Strategy Office. Work is strongly influenced by the CEO and other C-level executives, global functional and strategic leaders, and business P&L owners. The Strategy Manager is expected to be an individual contributor and may manage projects and resources depending on project scope. While there are not dedicated direct reports associated with this role, the Strategy Manager may manage Corporate Strategy and other K-C team members on various projects depending on project scope.


Major Responsibilities:

The selected strategist will work closely with the Corporate Strategy Sr. Directors, Directors, CSO and other strategy team members in the development of the corporate strategy and executing projects associated with the CEO’s value creation agenda. Additionally, s/he will work with business unit teams (regions) and functions to create strategies at a regional, functional, category, brand and /or country level that drive shareholder value with clear plans for implementation. S/he may also participate in the annual Strategic Business Planning process.

In this role, you will:


  • Evaluates data and build financial models and clearly articulate the “so-what” of that information.
  • Leverages broad set of resources to bring fact-based, externally guided perspectives, options, or recommendations to business partners.
  • Synthesizse data from multiple sources.
  • Structures workstreams and analyses to solve some of the firm’s most critical questions.
  • Independently leads specific workstreams within projects.
  • Creates materials for the Executive Leadership Team and Board meetings.
  • Collaborates with project teams to deliver against objectives, in partnership with Corporate Strategy colleagues, business teams, and external partners.
  • Summarizes project learnings and recommendations for review with leaders.


The successful candidate will join the Corporate Strategy team and report to the Senior Director, Corporate Strategy.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:


Qualifications:

  • Experience at a major consulting firm highly desired; strategy consulting or corporate strategy also preferred
  • An MBA from top-tier business school is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of business experience in strategy consulting, or related business analysis, functional line experience within strategy, marketing, finance, operations, or sales analytics with a history of demonstrated business success.
  • Understanding of industry trends and best practices, KPIs and standard analyses, and the competitive landscape


Desired Skills:

  • Written and Verbal Communication: Proven communication and presentation skills, including exceptional PowerPoint / deck-writing experience; capable of catering a message appropriately for a given audience.
  • Analytical and Quantitative: Able to collect, interpret, visualize and analyze a wide variety of information (financial statements and models, market research, etc.) and derive data-driven strategic insights from analyses; fluent in MS Excel.
  • Business Acumen: An awareness of what drives profitability and cash flow, a market-focused approach to the business, and an overall knowledge of business and functional interrelationships.
  • Initiative and Motivation: Highly motivated self-starter who is performance motivated.
  • Structured Problem Solving: Brings structure and creativity to ambiguous problems.


Location: This role will have a hybrid model and can sit out of one of the following office locations: Dallas, TX; Roswell, GA; or Chicago, IL.
