Senior Analyst- M&A & Strategy

Our client is looking for a Senior M&A and Strategy Analyst to join their corporate development group. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments while possessing excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills along with a high degree of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with due diligence, market analysis, and financial modeling to support future investments

• Build robust financial models in support of complex acquisition underwriting

• Perform discounted cash flow, accretion/dilution, precedent transaction, comparable public company, leveraged buyout, company benchmarking, and other related analyses

• Prepare materials for strategic leadership and executive management

• Assist with the preparation of materials for the board of directors and other key stakeholders

• Assist in developing and executing smooth acquisition integration processes

• Synthesize public and proprietary data sources to inform long-term strategy and drive near-term priorities

• Maintain M&A pipeline tracking tools supporting status updates to executive management

• Cross-functional collaboration to provide accurate and timely strategic analysis

• Conduct business studies on past, future, and comparative performance

• Assist management in efforts to inform long-term and strategic decisions

• Support information and special project requests

• Develop strong working relationships with employees across the company

• Adhere to company policies and procedures

• Perform other tasks as required

Relevant Skills

• Strong finance and valuation knowledge with the ability to understand key operating and valuation drivers

• Ability to build and maintain robust 3-statement operating and valuation models

• Proficiency in mining, analyzing, and translating data into meaningful reports

• Ability to handle several projects simultaneously while prioritizing work based on deadlines and effective communication

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

• Expert skills with Microsoft Excel (e.g. comfort with Index, Match, Lookup, If Statement formulas along with data tables and pivot tables)

• Advanced skills with Microsoft PowerPoint

General Qualifications & Experience

Preferred

• 1 – 2 year(s) of experience in one or a combination of investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or a similar setting OR;

• 2 – 3 years of similar transactional experience in a corporate setting

• Previous finance and strategy experience in the industrials space

Requirements

• 1-3 year(s) of experience in a strategic finance analyst role or similar

• Bachelors degree with a strong academic track record

• Strong analytical and modeling skills

• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

Compensation: 110k-125k plus bonus
